Bulls at full strength in Auckland

The Bulls will be able to select their strongest possible team for the opening match of their Australasia tour – against the Blues in Auckland on Friday.

Team doctor Org Strauss gave the squad a "clean bill of health", with prop Dean Greyling the only player not taking part in full training.

Greyling will only take part in selected team training exercises as he is still recovering from a thigh hematoma sustained in a car crash two weeks ago.

Jesse Kriel (knee contusion), Arno Botha (hip), Bjorn Basson (ankle), Werner Kruger (ankle), Jacques-Louis Potgieter (grade two hamstring tear), Burger Odendaal (ankle) and Jan Serfontein (hip) has all recovered from their niggles.

They will be considered for the match against the Blues.

Irne Herbst has meanwhile joined the long-term injury list, after rupturing his ACL.

He will only return to the playing field next year, alongside Piet van Zyl – who was also ruled out for the remainder of the season with the same injury.

Pierre Schoeman (knee), Bandise Maku (pectoral) and Ruan Steenkamp (knee) will all return on July 31, while Ryan Nell (knee) and Duncan Matthews (knee) on August 31.
