Cheetahs leave De Jager behind
A total of 25 players will be boarding the plane with De Jager being the notable absentee.
His ommision is as a result of an agreement the franchises have with SA Rugby – which states that contracted Springbok players are allowed to play no more than 15 Super Rugby matches, including warm-up matchs.
Reniel Hugo, Carl Wegner and Hilton Lobberts will be lock options for the Cheetahs' game against the tournament newcomers.
The Cheetahs started their Super Rugby campaign with back-to-back home losses at the hands of the Jaguares and Stormers.
