Tuesday 8 Mar 2016

A total of 25 players will be boarding the plane with De Jager being the notable absentee.

His ommision is as a result of an agreement the franchises have with SA Rugby – which states that contracted Springbok players are allowed to play no more than 15 Super Rugby matches, including warm-up matchs.

Reniel Hugo, Carl Wegner and Hilton Lobberts will be lock options for the Cheetahs' game against the tournament newcomers.

The Cheetahs started their Super Rugby campaign with back-to-back home losses at the hands of the Jaguares and Stormers.

Cheetahs squad: Clayton Blommetjies, Uzair Cassiem, Johannes Coetzee, Luan de Bruin, Jacques du Toit, Sias Ebersohn, Reniel Hugo, Hilton Lobberts, Charles Marais, Daniel Marais, Tian Meyer, Ox Nche, Sergeal Petersen, Boom Prinsloo, Raymond Rhule, Paul Schoeman, William Small-Smith, Francois Uys, Nicolaas van Dyk, Torsten van Jaarsveld, Henco Venter, Francois Venter, Shaun Venter, Carl Wegner, Fred Zeilinga.
