Cheetahs lose big Trevor
The Cheetahs will be without Springbok prop Trevor Nyakane against the Lions on Saturday after he was ruled out through injury on Friday.
He will be replaced in the starting line-up by Caylib Oosthuizen with Kevin Stevens coming on to the bench. Nyakane is rumoured to be leaving the Cheetahs for either the Bulls or Stormers, so he may have already played his last Super Rugby game for the Bloemfontein side.
The Cheetahs will be looking to make it one win against each South African franchise this season when they face the Lions at Ellis Park and captain Adriaan Strauss knows that the home side will be up for the fight as they look to extend their record for most wins in a Super Rugby season.
"We had the opportunity to beat all the other South African teams once except for the Lions," said Strauss.
"Hopefully we can end off on a high, but it won’t be easy, especially if you look at their last performance.
"They play with a lot of passion and pride and it will be tough going up there to win, but we will be up for the game and we still have a lot to play for."
