Cheika forced to wait

Waratahs coach will have the cloud of a disciplinary hearing hanging over him for another weekend.

SANZAR confirmed that the judicial hearing, to hear allegations of misconduct against Cheika, was stood over till Tuesday.

The hearing – to deal with one of Cheika's many public rants in recent weeks – kicked off on Friday.

However, following three hours of hearing evidence and submissions, the judicial officer, Nigel Hampton (New Zealand) adjourned the hearing for consideration and to make decisions on factual matters presented during the hearing.

The hearing will resume, via teleconference, on Tuesday, April 29.

Cheika is being investigated over his most recent rant, which included confronting a television cameraman during the Waratahs' loss to the Sharks in Durban.

The hearing was originally supposed to take place on Wednesday, April 16, but was then moved to Thursday, April 24.

The Waratahs play the Blues in Auckland on Friday.
