Alfons Meyer, the Chief Executive Officer of the Blue Bulls Company, confirmed that White is on the Bulls’ radar to replace the now-departed Alan Zondagh as Director of Rugby.

Zondagh, at the end of January, returned to the Western Cape for personal reasons – to enjoy more quality time with the family.

“We have several options [people] we are talking to,” Meyer told @rugby365com, when asked about Monday’s get-together with White.

However, the BBC may also decide not to fill the vacancy, created by Zondagh’s departure.

“That is also an option.”

The revelation that the 2007 World Cup-winning coach, White, could make Loftus Versfeld his home, comes just a day after the Bulls won their first match of the season – beating the Highlanders 38-13 in Pretoria at the weekend.

White, who also won an Under-21 World Cup with the Baby Boks in 2002, ended a three-year stint with Verblitz in the Japan Top League.

After his success with South Africa from 2004 to 2007 – which included a Tri-Nations championship to go with the World Cup – he also coached the Brumbies, Sharks and Montpellier.
