Crusaders lose All Blacks prop
INJURY UPDATE: Crusaders will have to readjust their pack following their 24-22 win over the Blues at Eden Park on Saturday.
According to Stuff, the All Blacks and Crusaders prop Tim Perry broke his arm during Saturday’s Super Rugby fixture in Auckland leaving Joe Moody and Harry Allan as the only healthy looseheads on the roster.
Perry left the field after just seven minutes, will see will visit a specialist to determine the severity of the fracture, Crusaders coach Robertson told the New Zealand media outlet.
This is devastating news for the 30-year-old, who missed the whole of the 2016 season due to a serious knee injury, and was limited to three appearances off the bench in 2017.
“He will go see a specialist on Monday to have a look at the options. If it’s an operation, and how long that would take to recover, if it is,” Robertson told stuff.
All Blacks prop Moody, sidelined since October 2018, was forced to return to replace Perry. Nontherless, Moody got through 73 minutes and was instrumental in the Crusaders’ scrum earning a penalty try after he returned to the field.
