Foley doubtful for season opener
Foley featured in his first Waratahs game of 2016 after a stint with Japanese Top League side, Ricoh Black Rams, but his return was cut short after picking up the injury
Waratahs coach Daryl Gibson confirmed Foley had hurt left shoulder in a tackle and was a genuine doubt for the first proper game of the season.
"Bernard looks like he could be out for a week or two," Gibson said. "He sustained a shoulder injury so we're unsure how limited he's going to be in the next few weeks but until he's assessed properly [we won't know]. At the moment, he's in doubt in for next week
Kurtley Beale appears the likely candidate to fill in at flyhalf in Foley's absence, having trained at ten for the pre-season and starting in the playmaking position in their final two trials.
