According to the Sydney Morning Herald, the 23-year-old left the field "with his arm in a sling and in noticeable pain".

A decision is still to be made on who will replace Holloway in the team, although veteran Wycliff Palu is the likely candidate.

There are also concerns for hooker Tatafu Polota-Nau and wing Reece Robinson. Polota-Nau seemed to hurt his shoulder during a passing drill, however the Waratahs said there was still a good chance he would play. Robinson is also suffering from a shoulder niggle.

Meanwhile, there was some positive news on Israel Folau. The Wallaby was doubtful for the clash after being laid low by a virus. However, head coach Daryl Gibson said he is expecting Folau to start against the Cheetahs on Saturday.
