Lions open the scoreboard after 10 minutes of play thanks to a try by centre Jacques Nel and a conversion by fyhalf Shaun Reynolds.

Not long after they broke the duck, the Gauteng side added a double with no response from the opposition. This time Robert Kruger and Andries Ferreira added their names to the score sheet, 21-0

The SupaBaaBaas eventually scored a try of their own. Sheldon Williamson diving over the chalk while Ashlon Davids was successful with the conversion, 21-7.

The excitement was short lived as Lions extended the lead just before the break. Robbie Coetzee added to his team telly with a five-pointer while Reynold's boot added a  fourth successful kick which made it 28-7.

As the second half commence the Supabaabaas came out with more intent. But fresh from the bench Jarryd Sage had other plans up his sleeve.

Sage broke the second half deadlock and registered the first try of the second half. Eddie Fouche picked up Reynolds baton and added the extra two points, 35-7.
