Match of the Day: Bulls v Reds

VIDEO: In the first installment of our Match of the Day series we go back to 2007 when the Bulls destroyed the Reds at Loftus Versfeld.

The Bulls needed a whopping 72-point victory against the Brisbane team to secure a home Super 14 semifinal.

The home side did better with 89-point winning margin with Heyneke Meyer’s side running in 13 tries on their way to a 92-3 victory.

Without that margin of victory, the Bulls would have finished fourth that season and play the Sharks in a semifinal in Durban.

The Bulls eventually knocked over the Crusaders in the semifinal in Pretoria before beating the Sharks in dramatic fashion in the final in Durban.
