Mitchell out for the season

The Rebels return home for their Round Seven match against the Brumbies without founding Rebel winger Lachlan Mitchell, who has been ruled out for the season with a knee injury.

Mitchell has been ruled out for the season after suffering a right knee fracture in his 50th Rebels appearance on Friday night against the Waratahs.

Hooker Tom Sexton's rehabilitation continues after suffering a knee injury during the pre-season, while young guns Lalakai Foketi, Jack Debreczeni and Sam Jeffries continue treatment for their injuries which will hopefully see them in contention for a Rebels debut later in the season.

Prop Toby Smith is following concussion protocols after a head knock saw him subsituted after 20 minutes in Sydney.

In some positive news, Jason Woodward will undergo further testing to prove his availability for selection against the Brumbies, while prop Laurie Weeks is available for selection after a one-week stand down following concussion protocol.
