Naka: Cheetahs have 'no answers'

Cheetahs coach Naka Drotské was left with more questions than answers after his team imploded yet again.

The Western Force won the first match of their South African tour and broke a three-match losing streak against the Cheetahs – with a 23-16 victory in Bloemfontein at the weekend.

It was yet another poor performance by a Cheetahs side that has been struggling throughout the competition.

"We just had no answers for their defence," Drotské told a post-match media briefing.

"Even when they were on their own goalline they defended very well.

"It is another disappointing performance.

"We also struggled in the scrums and couldn't get any momentum from a set piece that normally gives us a good platform to work from."

The Cheetahs had the majority of possession (66 percent) and pressured the Western Force's line continuously throughout the match, but the Western Australians were relentless in their defensive efforts.

Former Cheetahs flyhalf Sias Ebersohn was flawless with the boot on his old stomping ground, kicking two conversions and three penalties – while Jayden Hayward and Nick Cummins crossed the try-line.

Johannes Prinsloo scored the home's only try, while flyhalf Johan Goosen kicked a conversion and three penalties.
