Oosthuizen: It's going to be a battle of the forwards

Oosthuizen will run out for his 50th Super Rugby cap for the Sharks in the Round 14 encounter, which will see him go head-to-head with Springbok locks Eben Etzebeth and Pieter-Steph du Toit in the set pieces.

"It's going to be a battle of the forwards, it's going to be physical, it's going to be tough and we're going to have to do the hard yards," Oosthuizen told sharksrugby.co.za.

"But at the end of the day, we are 15 players on the field and as a pack, we’ll have to play our part so the backs can do their's."

Oosthuizen added: "It's going to be a big battle, they [Stormers] have good locks, as do we, and we just have to stick to our processes, we have to do what we have been all season and what has worked for us. So, if you get the process right, you get the result."

As with all South African derbies, a fiery contest is expected and both teams will be wanting to keep their discipline in check.

"It's very much about controlled aggression, you don’t want to lose games by giving away unnecessary penalties or yellow cards. 

"It’s all about composure; keeping your head and not letting any niggling get under your skin," said Oosthuizen.

Oosthuizen, who has been a key part of the Sharks' forward pack for the last few seasons, said it is a "massive honour" to represent the Sharks for the 50th time.  

"Being a part of, and growing with this team, makes me feel like I'm part of a bigger picture, bigger than just the guys who run out onto the field. 

"We’re a big family, everyone cares about each other and wants to play for his teammates and fans," he added.
