Super Rugby: Predictions and fixtures for Round Five
This weekend’s Super Rugby features some Friday night lights with the Stormers hosting the Jaguares at Newlands. The Cape Town side has had a bit of a hard time in this year’s competition, so the pressure is on to deliver in front of the home fans.
Out of all the rounds we’ve had so far in the 2019 season, this weekend is one of the toughest to call, with the data methods anyway.
As is the case every weekend, we’ve lined up the predictions for the weekend’s fixtures using two different data methods. First, for the winner and the score margin, data scientist David Scott provides an overview on his blog every week.
We also use the Rugby Pass Index (RPI) predictor to give a percentage chance of winning.
Fixture times are listed as GMT.
