Pulu likes the look of the Chiefs
The Chiefs have re-signed talented young scrumhalf Augustine Pulu for the next two years.
Chiefs coach Dave Rennie said Pulu is a real "high quality" player, whose game has developed in leaps and bounds over the past couple of years.
"We are rapt that he has re-committed to the Chiefs," Rennie said.
"He is a dynamic and physical player with an outstanding kicking game."
The 24-year-old has played 31 matches for the Chiefs, with his strong performances attracting the attention of other organisations.
Pulu selected to stay with the back-to-back champions.
"I would like to thank my family, my Chiefs family and the good Lord above for his guidance in this decision," Pulu said.
"I enjoy the Chiefs environment and have learned so much.
"I am fortunate that over the last few years I have access to the best coaches in the world, so I feel for the continued development of my rugby, that it is best that I remain at the Chiefs."
Pulu made his Super Rugby debut in 2012 against the Blues in Hamilton.
The former Wesley College student plays his NPC rugby for Counties Manukau and was awarded their Player of the Year in 2013, after helping his side lift the Ranfurly Shield for the first time in the Union's history.
