Reds eyeing victory at Newlands

Gill, who slotted a remarkable 40-metre drop goal on the stroke of halftime in the Pretoria clash on Saturday, said they were dissapointed with the result, especially after letting a narrow 27-22 trail turn into a 19-point deficit.

"We were in the game until the 65th minute and it's really frustrating that we let ourselves down," said the 23-year-old.

"We weren't as clinical as we needed to be, but it's a big learning curve and hopefully we can put in the planning for the Stormers."

The Wallaby loose forward admitted that they were outclassed by Nollis Marais' men, but also said that they have done well to create opportuninties and just need to finish with a more clinical approach and execution.

"It was a very physical battle upfront and it was a classic Bulls performance, they bullied us around the park a bit.

"We're excited to be in Cape Town and we're looking forward to our game against the Stormers this week,"

"We get ourselves in big moments, so we just need be more clinical, execute and build the pressure.

"If we were a little better with a few things we could've easily gotten the win.

The Reds produced a much-improved scrummaging effort against the Bulls and their enhanced display has come at a good time, as they will want to hold their own against the Stormers' strong set-pieces.

"Newlands is very tough to play at, it's almost as tough as Pretoria, so it's going to be very similar to last week.

"The crowd gets behind them and if the team gets a roll they're almost impossible to stop.

"If we can match them upfront and if we can put a bit of sting on the scoreboard then hopfully there'll be a chance.
