Reinach's Bok dream dashed

Reinach will undergo surgery after picking up an anterior cruciate ligament injury in his team's 15-14 win against the Highlanders, which was the Sharks' penultimate match on their New Zealand tour.

The nine-month lay-off means Reinach's season is done and he will not feature again on the rugby field this year

Reinach has had bad luck with injuries on tours for the Sharks in the last 12 months. Last year he fractured his hand and missed almost two months of rugby. He subsequently struggled to regain his form and missed out on World Cup selection.

Meanwhile, Patrick Lambie, Francois Kleynhans and Lubabalo Mtembu are all available for selection for this weekend's match against the Hurricanes. The trio have recovered from their respective injuries.

In other injury news, Jacques Potgieter is still five weeks away from his return to the playing field. He is still recovering from an ankle injury.

Philip van der Walt (neck) and Ruan Botha (ankle) are recovering from their respective injuries and will return action in two to three weeks.

Flyhalf Inny Radebe is still out for four weeks with his knee injury, while Wandile Mjekevu is expected to return in two weeks after a bone bruise on his right knee.
