According to Afrikaans newspaper Rapport, Specman is on the verge of signing a two-year contract with Bloemfontein franchise the Cheetahs.

The 31-year-old played for the Cheetahs in 2017 before joining Super Rugby side the Bulls for the last two seasons.

It has been reported that Specman doesn’t fit into the Blue Bulls Company’s new Director of Rugby Jake White’s revival plan.

While 37-year-old Gio Aplon joined the Bulls from Montpellier and wing Travis Ismaiel returned to Pretoria from England Premiership club Harlequins.
