Rest for Mohoje as Brussow returns

Heinrich Brussow has been named on the Cheetahs bench after missing the start of the season because of concussion.

The Springbok flank is being eased back into the game having not played any Super Rugby this season.

In the forwards, Johannes Prinsloo moves from flank to No.8 and Jean Cook back to flank, while Tienie Burger starts in the No.6 jersey, with Teboho Mohoje dropping out all together due to a SARU initiative.

With SARU regulations stipulating that no Springbok may play more than five consecutive weeks, Teboho Mohoje will sit out the Sharks clash and be replaced by Tienie Burger, to earn his first start in Super Rugby.

"We always knew that the Saru regulations with regards to the World Cup later this year would come into play," said Drotske.

"That is why Mohoje is sitting this one out.

"In his place comes Tienie Burger, who has proven himself coming off the bench and in last year's Currie Cup.

"Later we will start the same process with Springboks like Coenie Oosthuizen and Willie le Roux."

Drotske has also included his other Japan-based star Johann Sadie in the starting line-up with Francois Venter taking Michael van der Spuy's No.12 jersey as he drops to the bench.

"Johann Sadie has proved himself as a replacement," he added.

"He did not get much game time since his return from Japan, but he is ready and comes in at outside centre.

"We moved Francois back inside because I believe he is more calm there, and of greater value."

Sarel Pretorius is also back at scrumhalf after missing the Bulls game with a hamstring injury. As such Tian Meyer moves down to the bench.

Cheetahs: 15 Willie le Roux, 14 Cornal Hendricks, 13 Johann Sadie, 12 Francois Venter, 11 Raymond Rhule, 10 Joe Pietersen, 9 Sarel Pretorius, 8 Johannes Prinsloo, 7 Jean Cook, 6 Tienie Burger, 5 Francois Uys (captain), 4 Carl Wegner, 3 Coenie Oosthuizen, 2 Torsten van Jaarsveld, 1 Danie Mienie.
