Stormers to reveal their new head coach

NEWS: The Stormers are set to reveal their new coach in the next few days.

According to the Rapport newspaper, WP Rugby is expected to unveil John Dobson as the next Stormers coach.

Dobson will take over ahead of next year’s Super Rugby tournament.

He will replace Robbie Fleck with the latter’s contract coming to an end later this year.

Dobson has been the coach of Western Province over the last few years. Under Dobson, Province won the Currie Cup title in 2017 and they were runners-up in 2018.

In related news, Gert Smal will reportedly leave his post as Western Province Director of Rugby at the end of March.

Smal is set to join Jake White at Toyota Verblitz in Japan.
