Stormers wary of Kerevi
Kerevi is one of the competitions' most dangerous players with ball in hand and has been a standout performer in what has been a tough season so far for the Brisbane side.
The big centre scored two tries in his team's 22-41 defeat to the Bulls last week and will again be one of the main attacking threats when his team comes up against the Stormers.
"Their No.13 [Samu Kerevi] is quite big and he is a good ball player," said De Allende, who is making his first start for the Cape side in this year's Super rugby tournament.
"He is their main strike runner in the backline. He has a lot to offer and he has a lot of pace.
"We had a good look at what they [Reds] can produce on attack – they are quite difficult to read with their shape.
"We are going to try and sort out their main ball carriers and if we get that right then we got a good chance."
The Stormers suffered their second loss of the season last weekend when they went down 22-29 to the Lions Johannesburg.
The Cape side only managed to score one try against the Lions and De Allende, who came off the bench in that game, believes they need to be more patient in the strike zone.
"I think we can always give ourselves a bit more time with the ball in hand when it comes to finishing.
"I think we get over excited in the 22 and sometimes it feels like we are rushing ourselves and we put ourselves under pressure.
"It is something we trying to get right at the moment and I think every week we are progressing gradually," he added.
De Allende will start Saturday's game as the team's vice-captain to Frans Malherbe after co-captain Juan de Jongh was ruled out with concussion during the week.
"[Robbie] Fleck has been helping me with my leadership skills over the last couple of seasons, so I think I have filtered in quite nicely in the system as well.
"We have got guys like Schalk [Burger], Frans and Juan that have been in that role for a few years now and they have helped me quite a bit as well," said De Allende.
