VIDEO: Reds won't be bullied by Lions
Reds lock Izack Rodda, speaking ahead of his team's Round 11 encounter with the table-topping Lions, said they won't allow the visitors to 'bully' them.
He said there is a 'good vibe' in the team – despite defeats to the Stormers (19-25 in Cape Town), Brumbies (21-45 in Canberra), Waratahs (16-37 in Sydney) and Chiefs (12-36 in Brisbane).
"Everyone is excited to work hard and give it a crack against the Lions," Rodda said.
He said the Lions is an 'aggressive' team that likes to hold teams up in defence.
"They rely a lot on their set pieces," the Reds lock said, adding: "We just have to go at their strength and attack their set pieces.
"When we play the footy we want to play, we are pretty hard to stop.
"We need to get back to how we were at the start of the season, run hard and carry hard, [then] it will be good for us."
Rodda said against any South African team you have to match them physically.
"If you don't match them physically, they will just bully you out of the game.
"If we can match them physically, or even go more physical, it will be good for us."
