Gelant seeks new stomping ground after Racing 92 exit
TRANSFER NEWS: Springbok back Warrick Gelant has bid farewell to Racing 92.
Gelant’s departure was confirmed by Racing 92 on their official Twitter page over the weekend.
The French side thanked the Springbok for his incredible professionalism and wished him good luck with his future endeavours.
Gelant joined the French Top 14 side Racing 92 at the start of the season after winning the inaugural United Rugby Championship with the Stormers in 2022.
The Bok was integral to the Stormers’ success and has reportedly been linked with a return to the Cape Town outfit.
According to various media reports, the negotiations between the 2019 World Cup winner and the Stormers have been completed and the star looked set to ply his trade in Cape Town next season.
