Bamba, 25, made the last of his 26 Test appearances earlier this month and is a back-up for Les Bleus’ squad for this year’s World Cup, starting on September 8.

The tight-head grew up in the Paris suburb of Saint-Denis before joining Brive and becoming a world under-20 champion in 2018.

“My main desire was not guided by the financial side of things but to rediscover my family circle and an attractive rugby project,” Bamba said in a Racing statement.

“I’m delighted to be able to combine these two things in the best way.”
