Baby Boks forced to change

Versatile Blue Bulls midfielder Rohan Janse van Rensburg has replaced his injured provincial teammate Duncan Matthews (wing) in the South African Under-20 squad for 2014 IRB Junior World Championship.

New Zealand will stage the 2014 JWC for the first time from June 2 to 20 in Auckland.

Matthews was ruled out of action due to a back injury.

The powerfully built Van Rensburg will play in his second JWC for the Junior Boks, after representing the South Africa Under-20 squad last year in France.

His versatility means he is equally at home at both inside and outside centre as well as on the wing.

His official inclusion means the Baby Springboks now travel to New Zealand with four players who have previous JWC experience under the belt.

Team captain Handré Pollard (flyhalf) will play in his third JWC event, while Jesse Kriel (fullback) and Aidon Davis (No.8) also played in France last year.

* Meanwhile the 28-man Baby Bok squad will assemble in Stellenbosch on Sunday to complete their JWC preparations.
