Unbeaten Aussie juniors march on

The Australian Under-20 side have won four matches in a row in this year, setting up the perfect platform for the IRB Junior World Championship (JWC).

Their last match before heading to New Zealand saw them record a convincing 59-22 victory over the Australian Barbarians at Chatswood Oval on Tuesday.

Coach Adrian Thompson was satisfied with his sides performance.

“It’s excellent that we have had an undefeated run into the IRB Junior World Championship with the win against the Australian Barbarians.

“I was impressed with the depth of the entire squad throughout the four matches and it was particularly evident tonight.

“The hard work is only beginning with another day in camp, before we depart for Auckland to compete in the tournament and I know every player is eagerly awaiting the challenge.”

An injury to young utility back Jonny Vaux was the only dampener in what was an excellent performance by the Under 20s side.
