VIDEO: Bulls determined to right Edinburgh wrongs against Munster
WATCH as Bulls lock Ruan Nortje speaks about his side’s upcoming United Rugby Championship clash against Munster and the areas they should focus on to get a winning result.
The Bulls lost 20 percent of their line-outs at crucial times in their Challenge Cup quarterfinal clash against Edinburgh.
Nortje’s side will come up against a formidable Munster pack that includes Springbok teammate Jean Kleyn, which promises to be a spicy battle between the two locks.
The 26-year-old bruiser said the Bulls are out to fix their set-piece, which will ease the pressure they experienced against Edinburgh.

“It was frustrating. Our line-outs are a big part of our game where we implement ourselves to try and create momentum.
“Especially in the first half [against Edinburgh]. We had a crooked or missed [line-out] throw or a knock-on.
“Just fundamentals that we missed that put [ourselves] under pressure.
“The way Edinburgh started that game, the pressure just compounded it.
“Each time we don’t get the ascendancy, it’s more pressure.
“It’s one that we as players take on the chin. We were not good enough. So it’s something we will have to be much better at this weekend.”

Nortje said that there were some positives against Edinburgh that the Bulls can build on and pointed out an area they can target where Munster is generally strong.
“We just have to sort out the small set-piece fundamentals, and we can definitely be better at our tempo.
“What we picked up this past weekend is that we slowed down way too much, and that could be because we were under pressure.
“There’s a massive focus for us – to get a better tempo [against Munster].
“We are quite happy with our mauling at the moment. We just want to keep building on that.
“We know Munster and the other Irish sides pose a massive breakdown battle. That’s going to be the big thing this weekend.”
