Bulls head to Dublin with battle-hardened Springbok core
SQUAD ANNOUNCEMENT: The Bulls will travel to Dublin for next Friday’s United Rugby Championship final armed with a squad rich in experience, with no fewer than 17 Springboks.
Leading the way are seasoned internationals such as Willie le Roux, Handré Pollard, Marcell Coetzee and Kurt-Lee Arendse, players who have performed on the biggest stages in world rugby and understand exactly what is required when silverware is on the line. Their presence gives the Bulls a proven leadership core and invaluable big-match know-how.
That experience is complemented by a new generation of rising stars, including Cameron Hanekom and Cheswill Jooste, who have injected energy and attacking spark throughout the campaign. The blend of established internationals and emerging talent has been one of the hallmarks of the Bulls’ success this season.

The pack, in particular, boasts a wealth of Test experience. Coetzee, Elrigh Louw, Marco van Staden, Ruan Nortje and Cobus Wiese provide a formidable combination of physicality and work rate, while the front row offers significant depth and international pedigree, ensuring the Bulls can maintain intensity at scrum time throughout the contest.
Behind the scrum, Pollard’s composure and game management will be crucial, while Le Roux’s vision and ability to unlock defences add another dimension to the attack. Outside them, the pace and finishing ability of Arendse, Canan Moodie and Jooste provide the firepower to turn opportunities into points.
Perhaps most importantly, the Bulls possess the versatility and depth required for a final. Players such as Moodie, Jan-Hendrik Wessels and Nizaam Carr are capable of covering multiple positions, giving the coaching staff valuable flexibility should the game take an unexpected turn.
