Goosen suffered a knee injury in the Bulls’ Champions Cup win against Stade Francais and was subsequently replaced by Boeta Chamberlain.

White provided clarity on the extent of the injury as the flyhalf have had numerous setbacks throughout his career with his knee.

“Not as bad as we thought it was, it’s not an ACL, it was a procedure to clean-up inside the knee,” White said.

“As you know he’s had many knee operations.

“The good news is that it’s anything between eight and 12 weeks, I think.

“For him it’s much better news than being out the whole season again,” White concluded.
