Bulls' URC clash gets a new time slot
NEWS: Bulls’ upcoming United Rugby Championship Round 17 clash at home against Cardiff has had its kick-off times adjusted due to broadcasting schedule needs.
The Bulls will welcome the Welsh side to fortress Loftus Versfeld on Saturday, May 10, and kick-off has now been set to 16.00 (15.00 UK time; 14.00 GMT) in the afternoon, a 45-minute adjustment from the initial 16.45 (15.45 UK time, 14.45 GMT) time slot.
Even though the time changes affect fan and visitor planning, at times, much like this instance, they are necessary to accommodate the global schedule due to the URC’s global viewing and broadcast nature.
The action on the field will remain unchanged as the home side looks to wrap up the group stages of the competition with a full house of points and hopefully secure a second-place finish, which would guarantee a home quarterfinal and semifinal berth, as the team advances in the knockout phase of the league.
Meanwhile, Bulls captain Ruan Nortje has invited all mothers to collect free tickets that can be collected from the Loftus Versfeld Stadium ticket office during the course of this and the coming week.
On match day, all stadium gates will have tickets for mothers to collect and enter the stadium to enjoy world-class rugby and all the Loftus D-field Market entertainment, including live music and food and drinks synonymous with the Loftus experience.
“This is a special city to all of us who have the privilege of representing this club, and to be able to celebrate the women who are the rock of our society is special,” Nortje said.
“We will be dedicating the match against Cardiff to our mothers, our aunts, sisters and our wives who all play a special role in all our lives.
“We would like to invite the rest of the moms out and about the city to come and watch us play, they will enter the stadium for free, and we all look forward to hearing them cheer us on, and we will do our best to make them proud.”
