Deon's message from hospital bed
INJURY UPDATE: Stormers loose forward Deon Fourie posted a positive message from his hospital bed following his recent injury setback.
The 38-year-old’s return from injury against Connacht this past weekend was short-lived after he hobbled off moments after coming off the bench.
Stormers Director of Rugby John Dobson feared for the worst as he has seen players sidelined for as long as a year with a tibia fracture.

“I don’t know where this leaves us or him,” a distraught Dobson told @rugby365com following the clash against Connacht.
“[Fellow loose forward] Keke [Morabe] was sidelined with that [a similar injury] for close to a year.
“You have to do the maths. That probably puts him at the crossroads [of his career].
“I hope that is not the case.
“It depends on the nature of the break.”
Fourie, however, posted a message on his Instagram account revealing that the injury wasn’t as serious as initially feared and that he will be back sooner than anticipated.
