Ethan Hooker to go under the knife
NEWS: Sharks head coach JP Pietersen has provided an update on Ethan Hooker.
The 23-year-old suffered a dislocated shoulder against the Ospreys last week when Luke Morgan dived on the Springbok star after he grounded the ball for a try.
Hooker is now expected to go under the knife.
“Ethan flew home, and he saw the surgeon,” said Pietersen.
“I can’t say how long he will be out for.
“He is probably going to go for surgery sometime this week.
“Obviously, when they open up the shoulder, they will see something different, so I don’t have an exact time on how long he will be out for.

The incident has dominated headlines this week after Morgan escaped punishment on the field.
On Thursday, a source at the United Rugby Championship told Rugby365 that the “citing officer involved reviewed the incident and found that it did not meet the red card threshold”.

“We had a conversation with the head of refereeing (Tappe Henning),” Pietersen added.
“It is what it is, and it is out of my control.
“It is more for the referees and what they need to do. That is pretty much from my side.”
The Sharks will face Edinburgh at the Hive Stadium in Round 16 on Friday.
