Everitt to inflict more pain on South Africa in 'Biltong Series'?
SPOTLIGHT: Sean Everitt will be out to make a huge statement by recording three wins in a row over South African opposition with Edinburgh.
The Scottish side already has two victories after they beat the Lions and the Bulls in the Challenge Cup play-offs over the last two weekends.
That win over the Bulls secured a home Challenge Cup semifinal against Bath on May 2.
However, Everitt’s focus is firmly on plotting the Sharks’ downfall in the United Rugby Championship this weekend.
The story continues below…
There will be some extra spice in that fixture with Everitt being the Durban side’s former head coach.
“We’ve got three South African teams in a row and the guys are labelling it the Biltong Series!” Everitt told Scottish media after his team’s 34-28 win over the Bulls on Saturday.
He added: “We’re two up and we’ve got another one to go, so we’ve got to focus [ahead of the Sharks match].
“But yes, the [Challenge Cup] semifinal at home is awesome against probably two of the better teams in the Premiership at the moment.”
Just how we drew it up 😅

Everitt praised his team’s execution in that quarterfinal win over the Bulls.
“The Bulls are a dangerous team with the power that they have up front,” Everitt explained.
“Getting a big lead at half-time did help us, obviously.
“We took our opportunities in the first half and that’s what you need to do against a team like this because they do have the ability to come back.
“We had an 80 percent completion rate when we got into their 22 and that’s vital.
“It’s not often that you can peg them in their 22 and when you get there, you’ve got to make use of it.”
