Former Sharks prop joins Munster
TRANSFER NEWS: Munster and the Irish Rugby Union confirmed the signings of props Conor Bartley and former Sharks prop Dian Bleuler on short-term deals.
Bartley, who’s comfortable on both sides of the scrum joins Munster on a short-term deal.
The 29-year-old played his schools rugby with Castletroy College before a one-season spell with Garryowen.
He’s been a cornerstone of Young Munster’s front-row over the past 10 years, winning three consecutive Senior Challenge Cup titles between 2021 and 2023.
He also represented the Ireland Clubs side against Portugal A in March 2024.
As part of Munster’s recruitment and succession planning, players are continually tracked and observed by Munster staff throughout the domestic season with Bartley’s performances at club level resulting in this exciting opportunity.

Loosehead prop Dian Bleuler also joins Munster from the Sharks on a short-term deal.
The 25-year-old Junior Springbok started his professional career with Western Province and the Stormers.
Bleuler joined the Sharks in 2021 where he represented them in the Currie Cup, URC and Champions Cup in the past couple of seasons, including October 2023’s clash against Munster at Thomond Park.
The duo will provide much-needed front-row cover with a number of props currently sidelined due to injury.
