Good news for Leinster ahead of URC fixture
NEWS: Leinster has welcomed back several players from injury ahead of their United Rugby Championship clash with Ulster at Ravenhill Stadium on Friday.
Head coach Leo Cullen gave an injury update with the positive news that five senior players have returned to full training since last month’s 24-6 defeat of the Lions at Lansdowne Road.
Following that victory, Leinster is the only team to have won all of their matches this season.
For once, the league leaders didn’t pick up maximum points, finishing one try short of the bonus.
But that’s still 29 points out of a possible 30, which gives them a six-point lead after the opening block of games.
Hookers Lee Barron and John McKee are both available for selection again after overcoming injuries during the international break, with McKee starting both Leinster ‘A’ games this month.
Jack Conan has recovered from a hamstring injury suffered in the win over Munster while Jordan Larmour is also available for selection.
There is also positive news for Jimmy O’Brien, who has returned to full training for the first time since being withdrawn from the win over Benetton in September.
There is no further update on Dan Sheehan, Rob Russell, Paddy McCarthy, or Tommy O’Brien.
