Is this the end of the road for Johan Goosen?
INJURY: Bulls playmaker Johan Goosen’s latest injury setback could mark the end of his playing career.
Goosen limped off 11 minutes into the Bulls’ United Rugby Championship Round 17 clash against Cardiff with what appeared to be a knee injury.
Goosen’s knee issues have been well-documented. His first of many started as a youngster when he was replaced in the Junior Springbok squad by Handré Pollard back in 2012.

His knee troubles wouldn’t end there as he sustained a few more throughout his career.
Goosen suffered another knee setback in the Champions Cup against Stade Francais on January 18 which ruled him out for approximately two and half months.
He returned for the Bulls’ Challenge Cup Round of 16 match against Bayonne on April 5 and had a decent run of form until his latest setback against Cardiff.
An emotional Jake White didn’t provide any update on Goosen’s latest injury setback but just said “I feel for the guy”. Considering the playmaker’s injury history, it’s hard to see him come back from another setback at the age of 32.
