Leinster get backline boost ahead of Sharks showdown

SQUAD UPDATE: Leinster head coach Leo Cullen will have an extra backline option this week for his side’s United Rugby Championship Round Three clash against the Sharks.

The Irish giants are back home after their two-match South African tour, where they suffered defeats to the Stormers (0-35) and the Bulls (31-39).

On Monday, Cullen revealed that Jamie Osborne has returned to training after recovering from a minor hamstring issue and will be available for selection.

Osborne’s versatility will be a boost as he can play in several positions in the backline.

He was also called up to the British and Irish Lions squad earlier this year after an injury to Blair Kinghorn.

There are no further updates on Jordan Larmour, Cormac Foley, Caelan Doris, Joe McCarthy and Hugo Keenan.
