Leinster sweat on Snyman as Porter declared fit
INJURY UPDATE: Ireland loosehead prop Andrew Porter is available for Leinster‘s United Rugby Championship meeting with Scarlets at the Aviva Stadium on Friday, but there is no news on Springbok lock RG Snyman yet.
Porter recovered from a calf injury that ruled him out of the Six Nations.
Lock James Ryan is due to be further assessed on a calf injury, and a final decision on his fitness will be made later in the week.
Snyman will also be further assessed, and a final decision on his availability will come later in the week.
Snyman was forced off in the second half against Glasgow last weekend following a heavy collision. Although he was able to walk from the field, the lock appeared in discomfort.
Leinster lost 17-38 against the Warriors as they cemented their position at the summit of the URC table.
Irish flanker Ryan Baird, who broke his leg in November, is due to return to full training this week.
There were no further updates on the injured Jack Boyle, Hugh Cooney, Jordan Larmour, James Lowe, Diarmuid Mangan, and Paddy McCarthy.
