Lions lock in bruising loose forward 

CONTRACT EXTENSION: The Lions have announced the re-signing of No. 8 Francke Horn who has committed his future to the Johannesburg-based outfit.

The former Junior Springbok vice-captain made his senior debut for the Lions in 2020 and racked up 61 franchise caps for his side as well as 18 at a domestic level.

Horne scored 24 tries for the Lions in all competitions to date and is excited to continue his stay at Ellis Park until at least 2028.

“Representing this franchise is a massive honour for me.

“I’m excited to experience what the future has in store as I believe we can achieve big things as a team and, most importantly bring joy to Joburg [Johannesburg] once more.”
