Lions reveal replacement for JC Pretorius
TEAM ANNOUNCEMENT: The Lions have revealed the team to face Ulster in their United Rugby Championship clash at Ellis Park on Saturday.
The franchise will take momentum into Saturday’s fixture after securing a bonus-point victory against the Scarlets at the same venue last weekend.
The victory was their first win of the season.
However, the win came with one casualty in the form of star poacher JC Pretorius, who sustained a knee injury that will see him out of action for a period of time.
Pretorius’ injury means that Jarod Cairns gets a start in the back row.
Reinhard Nothnagel starts in the second row after coming off the bench last week against the Scarlets.
Bronson Mills replaces Richard Kriel and starts at inside centre alongside Henco van Wyk.
Lions: 15 Quan Horn, 14 Eduan Keyter, 13 Henco van Wyk, 12 Bronson Mills, 11 Angelo Davids, 10 Chris Smith, 9 Nico Steyn, 8 Francke Horn (captain), 7 Ruan Venter, 6 Jarod Cairns, 5 Reinhard Nothnagel, 4 Etienne Oosthuizen, 3 Asenathi Ntlabakanye, 2 Franco Marais, 1 SJ Kotze.
