'An uncertain road ahead' for Bok star after serious injury
SPOTLIGHT: Springbok and Bulls loose forward Elrigh Louw took to social media to give fans a bit of an update after he suffered a knee injury over the weekend.
The 25-year-old co-captain left the field early in the second half of his team’s 35-22 United Rugby Championship win over the Lions at Ellis Park on Saturday.
The seriousness of Louw’s injury was made clear after the match when the Bulls confirmed that the Springbok went to the hospital to determine the course of action.
“When you get taken straight to hospital, it is serious,” Bulls Director of Rugby Jake White told reporters after the match.
On Monday, Louw posted a photo of himself recovering in hospital and it was accompanied by the following words: “In Oceans deep my Faith will stand.
“Long and uncertain road ahead, but I WILL be back.
“Thanks for every message and prayer”

Meanwhile, fellow co-captain Ruan Nortje is also a major concern.
The Springbok lock left the field with a knee injury in the fifth minute of that match against the Lions and he was due to have a scan on Monday.
