New base camp in Europe for Sharks?
NEWS: The Sharks have revealed a new partnership that could see them setting up camp in Geneva in Switzerland during the United Rugby Championship (URC).
The Sharks announced a partnership with the Servette de Geneve and the business community of Geneva.
According to the official statement by the South African franchise, the deal “will focus on growing the sport in the region and the creation of a CSI funding programme that will focus on development and the upliftment of communities in South Africa,”
The Sharks also stated that discussions are currently underway for the URC franchise to utilise Geneva as a base camp to prepare for matches played in Europe and there are also some exciting plans to expand our Sharks Academy, by opening a division in Geneva.
Commenting on this partnership The Sharks CEO, Eduard Coetzee said: “As a global brand, partnering with the Servette de Geneve and the business community in Geneva is very much in line with The Sharks’ objective and focus on taking our brand to the world”.

This partnership with the Servette de Geneve will be facilitated by Team One Conseil, who are helping to develop the Sharks brand in France and Switzerland and have been mandated to support both parties in the structuring of this partnership.
