Rudolph's incredible URC stats
STAT ATTACK: From the brink of retirement, Jeandre Rudolph has turned his fortunes around since moving to the Bulls.
Rudolph joined the Pretoria-based franchise in July 2025 on a short-term contract, having made 74 appearances for the Cheetahs.
His time in Bloemfontein culminated in the Cheetahs’ Currie Cup triumph in 2023, when they defeated his former team and the defending champions, the Pumas. He also spent a stint on loan with the Ospreys in Swansea, Wales.
An unheralded workhorse, Rudolph was a mainstay for the Cheetahs – a diesel engine with no hesitation in applying pressure at the breakdown.
He has carried that form into his time at the Bulls.
Over the past few months, the 31-year-old has been instrumental for the Bulls, playing a key role in the squad while reviving his career.
Rudolph was outstanding in the Bulls’ 19-17 comeback win over Edinburgh at Hive Stadium in Round 10 of the United Rugby Championship.
The No.8 returned to the starting XV and made the most carries in the match (14). He also recorded two turnovers, taking his season tally to 15 – the highest in the URC so far.
He also delivered a strong performance against the Stormers at the start of January, making 10 carries, 11 tackles and four turnovers in the Bulls’ 8-13 defeat at DHL Stadium.
Rudolph’s work rate has been a defining feature of his game, underlining his value to the Bulls pack.
The loose forward has signed a deal with the Bulls until the end of the season, but it would be wise to hold on to that type of calibre.
Meanwhile, Sharks forward Vincent Tshituka shares the top spot for line-out steals this season with Leinster’s Alex Soroka, both on seven. Lions forward Francke Horne leads the competition for line-outs won, with 45.
