Stormers prop's daunting task against URC's 'best'
SPOTLIGHT: Stormers loosehead prop Sti Sithole had a lot of praise for Bulls tighthead Wilco Louw ahead of their meeting in the rescheduled Round One United Rugby Championship clash on Saturday.
Speaking at a post-training session on Wednesday, Sithole gave his possible direct opponent Wilco Louw and the Bulls pack a lot of respect, but he is looking forward to stamp his authority along with his teammates against an impressive Bulls forward pack.
“The Bulls are a big physical side, it’s a big derby and is going to be a physical one and we’re looking forward to it,” Sithole said.
“Wilco [Louw] is probably the best scrummaging tighthead [prop] in the competition.
“It will be a massive challenge for us, but we prepped well and we’re looking forward to it on Saturday.”
He added: “We worked hard on our set-piece, we know they are a very set-piece driven team.
“We’re looking to target and match that if not better it as well.”
Sithole, who previously played for the Lions and featured in a couple of Trans-Jukskei derbies against the Bulls, opened up about how unique and special the North-South derby is.
“I think you’ll struggle to find a bigger game than this, especially in a setting like this,” Sithole told @rugby365com
“It’s very special, I think it’s almost sold out, it probably will be sold out by Saturday.
“A packed Cape Town Stadium is something to witness live.”

The Stormers are with their backs against the wall to qualify for the URC play-offs.
Currently in 12th position and nine points behind the third-placed Bulls, the Cape side has an uphill battle to climb to avoid failing to qualify for the URC knock-outs for the first time in their history.
Sithole outlined how crucial this big derby is as well as their matches going forward in the competition.
“Our log position is not ideal at this stage of the season.
“Every game now is crucial and a must-win for us.
“Especially home games we’ll need maximum points so we’re looking to get a result.”
