Stormers clarify Boks' availability for Munster clash
SPOTLIGHT: Stormers attack coach Dawie Snyman clarified the availability of their Springbok players who formed part of the national team’s November tour ahead of their away clash against Munster.
Ben-Jason Dixon, Zachary Porthen, Damian Willemse, Cobus Reinach and Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu were all part of the Boks’ touring squad to Europe.
They all featured across the Springboks’ victories against Japan, France, Italy and Ireland.
South Africa have one last stop in Cardiff, where they’ll face Wales. The fixture falls outside of the international Test window.
This issue leaves Bok mentor Rassie Erasmus a little thin in player resources, as many players will have to return to their respective clubs and franchises.

“At this stage, we haven’t had any confirmation of players [from the Boks] who will be available,” Snyman said when asked if the players will be up for selection ahead of their top-of-the-table clash against Munster at Thomond Park.
“From our side, we’ve taken what we have here and prepared with that.
“If anyone becomes available, we’ll deal with that, but at this stage we don’t have any confirmation of players being made available.”
The Stormers prepared accordingly for the Limerick showdown, utilising the players at their disposal during the three-week non-playing break they enjoyed when the Nations Series took place.

“With our Boks being overseas, we had an opportunity to have three quality weeks with the squad that’s back home, which is a good squad,” Snyman said.
“It was nice to work on some combinations and have the guys understand what to do and what we needed to get right heading into the weekend.
“It’s been a good three weeks of preparation.”
