Stormers confirm return of backline trio

INJURY UPDATE: The Stormers have been bolstered by three returning backline players ahead of their United Rugby Championship Round 13 clash against Scarlets.

Springboks Damian Willemse and Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu along with Suleiman Hartzenberg are all in contention to make the trip to Llanelli.

The touring squad is expected to be announced on Tuesday.

Stormers attack coach Dawie Snyman expressed his elation to have the Bok duo back – considering the number of injuries the Capetonians have suffered in the playmaking position.

“They’ve been in and out of the squad in terms of their workloads the past few weeks,” Snyman said in an online press conference on Monday.

“They had a full week with us when they weren’t involved with the [Springbok] alignment camp.

“Obviously they’re classy players.

“Every time they’re on the field you can see it.

“They bring a difference and not just on the [training] field but off it as well in terms of meetings etc.

“We’re really excited to have them in the squad again and we hope they will go well.”
