Stormers on edge after training-ground collision
The Stormers are facing an anxious wait over the availability of two of their star backs ahead of their United Rugby Championship quarterfinal against Cardiff in Cape Town this weekend.
Damian Willemse and Leolin Zas were involved in a heavy collision during training at Cape Town Stadium on Wednesday.
Willemse reportedly slipped while attempting to cover a kick-through on the wet DHL Stadium surface, resulting in an awkward clash with Zas.

According to IOL, Willemse was able to complete the session, while Zas was forced to leave training early. The winger was later seen with his knee heavily strapped and iced and appeared to be hobbling through the tunnel after the session.
Despite initial concerns, the injury is not believed to be serious, and there is optimism that Zas will be fit for Saturday afternoon’s clash.
Meanwhile, flyhalf Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu did not take part in Wednesday’s training session, with Jurie Matthee filling in at No. 10.
However, the expectation remains that the Springbok playmaker will be available for the quarterfinal.
