‘Thank you for the memories’: Libbok’s farewell message

SOCIAL SPOTLIGHT: Springbok flyhalf Manie Libbok took to social media to officially bid farewell to the Cape Town franchise.

Libbok will join Japanese club the Hanazono Kintetsu Liners ahead of the 2025/26 Japan Rugby League One season.

The 28-year-old was recently part of the Springboks squad that secured back-to-back Rugby Championship titles.

Over the years, Libbik has become an integral part in the Stormers set-up and he was also a key figure when they won the inaugural United Rugby Championship title in 2022.

In a heartfelt post, Libbok thanked the “incredible faithful.”

He stated: “Your continuous support, through highs and lows, has meant more than words can describe. Running out in front of you was always an honour.”

I want to take this moment to express my deepest gratitude to everyone at the @dhlstormers. From the coaches, management, medical team, and all the hardworking staff at the HPC. Thank you for the trust you placed in me and for believing. That belief inspired me to be the best version of myself.

To my teammates, thank you for the memories, the battles we fought together, and the brotherhood we built.

To the Faithful — your continuous support, through highs and lows, has meant more than words can describe. Running out in front of you was always an honour.

Stormers Family, I salute you. Wishing you all the best for the rest of the season💙🤍
