The Irish province confirmed that star centre Stuart McCloskey has been ruled out of that clash at Loftus Versfeld.

He sustained a right knee and right ankle injury in a tackle in Saturday’s URC Round Two clash against the Lions.

The visitors lost that match 22-35 at Ellis Park.

Ulster managed to get a bonus point in that defeat for scoring four tries.

The Bulls kicked off their campaign with a hard-fought 22-16 win over Edinburgh last weekend.
